The South Australian Globalist was launched in August 2010 with the publication of its inaugural issue, themed ‘Our World: The next in 25 years”. The SA Globalist is the second Globalist chapter in Australia, with one also based at Sydney; and is the eleventh chapter worldwide. The SA Globalist publishes tri-annually, with each issue featuring a unique theme, in addition to general feature articles, special interviews and international perspectives.

The magazine is published by students from the University of South Australia, and aims to publish the best in student ideas, writing and analysis on international affairs.  As part of the Global21 network, it also strives to create an international network for students who are likely to assume leadership roles in business, media, the non-for-profit sector and the government.   The South Australian Globalist’s audience encompasses students, academics, analysts, civil society, opinion-makers and the foreign policy community.

The mission of the South Australia Globalist is to spark discussion about international affairs between students, faculty, and the greater community. The magazine seeks to give readers thought-provoking and sometimes confronting articles to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of issues that will affect future generations. As a member of the Global21 network, the South Australia Globalist also hopes to promote its writing to an international audience and gain exposure on the global stage. The SA Globalist hopes to become a wealth of international affairs resources, opinions and features, with exclusive video interviews and event recordings.
